I recently won a $30 gift certificate to JillyBean's Doggie Boutique. It's an online store where you can buy clothing and accessories for your beloved dog. The funny thing is, I don't have a dog... I have 6 cats. One of my 6 furry babies thinks he's a dog so I thought it would be fun to dress him up as well as his son. So here, I'm sharing some pictures of their unbelievable cuteness.

This is Peanut striking a pose

I think he's getting a lil pissed

This is Bubba trying to impress my blog followers with his stud pose

He's only waiting for Scooby Snacks

Sooo..I'm a crazy cat lady

Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil Review

Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is extremely superior to the coconut oils you would find in stores. Unlike the refined versions in the stores, Tropical Traditions is all natural, pure and very healthy. Something that is definately worth paying more for.

The founder, Brian Shilhavy, moved to the Philipines and started making this coconut oil with his wife Marianita. They never expected thier business would be as successful as it has become but it has. This coconut oil is made by extracting the oil by grating the fresh coconut, extracting the coconut milk, and then letting the coconut milk stand in a covered container for about 24 hours. After about 24 hours, the oil naturally separates from the water producing a crystal clear oil that retains the full scent and taste of coconuts.

This traditional method of producing coconut oil is time consuming to make but much more beneficial to your health in the long run.

Cooking with Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is not only healthy, but absolutely delicious. As a cooking oil, its chemical structure is kept in tact and therefore is resistant to mutations of fatty acid chains even when used in higher cooking temperatures, unlike most vegetable oils. Research shows that the medium chain fatty acids found in coconut oil boosts the body’s metabolism, raises body temperatures, and helps provide greater energy which can lead to weight loss.

Knowing this, my family all wanted to try it. My mother is a great cook so we left it all to her. Our very first project was making hay stacks. Mmm, my favorite! I've found a list of delicious coconut oil experiments to continue enjoying here:

So we know it's healthy to consume the coconut oil, but is there any others ways of using it? TONS! I'll make an example of my personal top three.

Hair Care: Coconut oil is one of the best natural nutrition for hair. It helps in healthy growth of hair providing them a shiny complexion. Regular massage of the head with coconut oil ensures that your scalp is free of dandruff, lice, and lice eggs, even if your scalp is dry. It is an excellent conditioner and helps in the re-growth of damaged hair. It also provides the essential proteins required for nourishing damaged hair. It is therefore used as hair care oil and used in various conditioners, and dandruff relief creams. Coconut oil is normally applied topically for hair care.

Skin Care: Coconut oil is excellent massage oil for the skin as well. It acts as an effective moisturizer on all types of skins including dry skin. Coconut oil is a safe solution for preventing dryness and flaking of skin. It also delays wrinkles, and sagging of skin which normally become prominent with age. Coconut oil forms the basic ingredient of various body care products such as soaps, lotions, creams, etc., used for skin care.

Weight Loss: Coconut oil is very useful in losing weight. It contains short and medium-chain fatty acids that help in taking off excessive weight.

Tropical Traditions also has a ton of other amazing products which I'm totally dying to try. After using their Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, I'm completely devoted to thier company. I highly recommend this product to absolutely everyone. Don't waste another second, BUY NOW

Disclaimer: Tropical Traditions provided me with a free sample of this product to review, and I was under no obligation to review it if I so chose. Nor was I under any obligation to write a positive review in return for the free product.

KQC X-Heat Mini Ceramic Travel Sized Flat Iron Review

Looking for a flat-iron that works AND is good for your hair? Well let me introduce to you X-Heat Technology by KQC, the wonderful products that make your hair beautiful within minutes. Flat Iron Experts gave me this great opportunity to review the KQC X-Heat Mini Ceramic Travel Sized Flat Iron. One of their many amazing hair products. I am absolutely in love with it.

X-Heat technology by KQC is a unique system that softens hair faster, seals in cuticles and locks in hair colour. You can achieve a healthy, silky professional finish without the static electricity and frizzles of conventional technology.

Don't underestimate the size of this cute. tiny, little flat iron because believe me, it works almost as well as a flat iron that is regular sized. Weighing only 0.58 lbs, it is small enough to fit safely inside your purse ready for anytime you need a touch-up while on-the-go. I was specifically thinking about the horrible days when I've been caught in the rain and had no choice but to have messy, frizzy hair for the rest of the evening. Now I know I'm completely covered. It is going with me wherever I go from now on.

Not only is the size convenient for traveling, it is great for curling/flipping your bangs. I noticed that the KQC Mini Ceramic Flat Iron is great for getting closer to the scalp without burning yourself, allowing you to easily add little flips in your hair. This cute little size would also make it easier for people with shorter hair to add some extra style, including men. In fact, my brother is tempted to grow his hair out just to play with it.

Ceramic Technology: KQC's Ceramic Flat Iron plates are able to distribute heat across the entire surface evenly, retains heat more efficiently, and eliminates damaging hot spots. Ceramic plates radiates far-infrared heat to preserve more moisture within the hair shaft and causes less damage to the hair cuticle. It also emits negative ions, which eliminate static electricity and deliver shinier and sleeker results.

Negative Ion Technology: Negative ions are atoms that can stop the growth of bacteria, fungi, etc., resulting in healthier hair and scalp. Negative ion energy is powerful enough to break apart clusters of water molecules. The smaller water molecules penetrate into the hair shaft by slipping between the cuticles, adding plumpness/volume to hair. The bombardment of negative ions also closes the hair cuticle, which is very good for the health and appearance of the hair.

- 1/2" Ceramic Tourmaline plates
- 5-1/2" long compact design (half of the normal flat iron)
- One heat setting - Heats to 410 F
- Fits in purse, convenient for touch-ups
- Perfect for short hair
- Ergonomically designed for ease of use
- Dual voltages to use around the world
- X-Heat Technology for Maximum Ion and infrared
- Ultra Fast Styling
- One year warranty

I highly recommend the KQC X-Heat Mini Ceramic Travel Sized Flat Iron to every person who loves to keep their hair gorgeous in and outside of your home. All you have to do is CLICK HERE

Giggles & Grins Giveaway

I recently discovered Giggles and Grins on etsy and has been given the wonderful opportunity of hosting my very first giveaway with them. Yay!
This shop is full of the most gorgeous pendants I've ever seen made out of glass tiles, recycled scrabble tiles and dominos. You would never even know that they're made of recycled tiles because, to me, they look like pure glass. The variety is endless, having a pendant that matches every kind of person and feeling out there. This is why it's absolutely impossible to choose only 1 as your favorite. It would probably be the best place to buy gifts in bulk for Christmas, birthdays, valentines, etc. Not only are these pendants extremely awesome, the prices are completely affordable too. One pendant costs about $5 so why not just splurge and buy a whole bunch. I certainly want to.

Anyways, after a couple of hours of browsing through these beauties, I found a pendant that I "think" might be my favorite. I'm definately a crazy cat lady so I'm pretty sure this one would be my match.

One lucky reader of Star Struck Luck has a chance of winning a pendant of their choice

What pendant from Giggles and Grins would you choose if you won?
